Matthew Pierce is a software engineer and technology consultant.  While many authors research different professions before they write about them, Matthew took it a step further.  His unabridged resume includes emergency medical technician, standup comic, firefighter, riverboat deckhand, park ranger, martial arts instructor, night clerk, short-order cook, and private investigator.  Most of his published works are in textbooks, but science fiction and horror are his passion, second only to his family.

Matthew received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, after several more years than his advisors had planned.  He currently lives in Fort Myers, Florida with his wife and four young children.
