Matthew Pierce is a retired software engineer and technology consultant.  While many authors research different professions before they write about them, Matthew took it a step further.  His unabridged resume includes emergency medical technician, standup comic, firefighter, riverboat deckhand, park ranger, martial arts instructor, night clerk, short-order cook, and private investigator.

Matthew received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, after several more years than his advisors had planned.  He currently lives in Sanibel, Florida with his wife, four young children, and their two dogs.
